The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT) program is a science-based degree program. It integrates food chemistry, food microbiology, food engineering, food processing and sensory science to equip students with the necessary attitude, knowledge and skills of a world-class Food Technologist. Students will have opportunities to create safe, quality and nutritious food products and learn ways to process, preserve and package them. Learners will experience education that is hands-on, research-based and food-industry complemented.
Our graduates are gainfully employed in the Philippines and abroad. A Food Technology degree can lead to exciting opportunities and careers in the food industry, academia, and government institutions such as: product development scientist, consumer research specialist, scientific laboratory analyst, quality assurance manager, regulatory officer, food inspector, store auditor, academic staff, food plant manager, food hygiene and safety officer, technical sales representative, restaurant manager, and entrepreneur.
