The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BSMath) program enhances analytical and critical thinking skills. The program provides substantial exposure to the breadth and depth of mathematics from classical to contemporary, from theoretical to applied, and from foundational courses in core areas of mathematics to some advanced courses.
As mathematics is an indispensable tool across different disciplines, graduates of BS Math program may pursue careers in a variety of fields such as education, statistics, actuarial science, operations research, risk management, business and economics, banking and finance, and computing and information technology. Specifically, graduates may apply as educators in high schools, or colleges and universities, as analysts such as data, technical, trading or operations research analysts, and as officers related to banking and finance such as accounting, operational, financial or payroll officers. Finally, graduates may also apply for graduate studies locally and internationally where there are available scholarships with generous monthly stipend.
